CHARACTER

PHYSICAL AFFECTION: Hug this boy. He needs it!
RELATIONSHIPS: If asked, Kabane will claim his guardian Mr. Inugami as his lover. Because he loves him. As a guardian. He literally has no concept of romantic love.
PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: Always
INJURIES: Kabane heals insanely quick. Go nuts; no need to ask first.
MIND READING: Any information I've provided in a tag is free game. No need to ask permission.
MIND CONTROL: Kabane has negative defense against this kind of thing. Then again, you'd probably get him to do the thing much easier by just asking him nicely. Please ask permission for this, but chances are the answer's a big yes.
MEDICAL INFORMATION: Kabane is a human-ghoul hybrid. He has no blood and feels no pain. When he's injured, a white flame erupts from the wound and regenerates his damaged tissue.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS

VISUAL: At first glance, Kabane looks like any other edgy thirteen year old boy. His dark hair is messy, his hoodie features a spine and rib cage, and he wears his sneakers without socks like a heathen. All very standard for a rebel rascal. Upon closer inspection, however, his thousand yard stare is an ever-present indicator that he's not so standard after all.
AURAL: Kabane's soft-spoken, straightforward tone is a bit flat in delivery, and this can seem surreal during dramatic moments, but it's also done wonders when put to use deescalating tantrums.
OLFACTORY: Kabane smells terrible. We never get a direct description of the stench, but considering that the word ghoul is written as "corpse demon", the intensity of it isn't hard to imagine. While staying with humans in Deer Village, Kabane was barred from going to school with the other children, and no one was willing to eat with him in the room. It's that bad. After meeting another kemono for the first time, however, he learns that all kemono share a strong body odor. They utilize this smell to identify and keep track of each other. Luckily for the human population at large, kemono have developed a perfume spray to negate the reek. Everyone's noses are safe until Kabane's bottle of perfume runs out.
DEMEANOUR: Kabane's default disposition is awkward and stiff, like he's never quite sure what to do with himself. He has good posture but lacks knowledge of any kind of social etiquette or propriety. He experiences a wide range of emotion and yet is so confused about how to express those emotions that no one could be blamed for thinking he's a stone cold stoic. All of this means he's adorably out of place at the best of times and disturbingly vacant at the worst.

OPT-OUT

BODY HORROR: Kabane lends himself to a very particular brand of body horror thanks to his regeneration ability. Rather than reconnecting severed body parts, he simply grows new ones, which means he leaves many bits and pieces of himself behind. This is played for laughs because he doesn't register that this may disturb people.
HUMANS AS MEAT: Many kemono eat people, either because it's their preference or because they have no choice. In fact, the only reason Kabane doesn't is because he's lucky enough to have the one and only life calculus. This may become a big deal during events or if he loses said calculus. It's also possible that it will come up unbidden during conversation because Kabane has no filter.
TORTURE/ABUSE: From the moment he's placed in his aunt's care until he leaves Deer Village at thirteen, Kabane is treated as subhuman by everyone around him. This destroys his emotional development and is still readily apparent in his present actions. At one point, he takes hold of an enemy's hand and threatens to break her fingers one by one until she talks, citing casually that his cousin once used the same tactics on him.
